Kind Words - Blog 365 - 1-14-23

Nice, friendly, sweet, amazing, beautiful, cool, hello, awesome, have a nice day. These words can mean so much to someone. 

A smile as someone walks by can say as much as a thousand words to someone having a bad day. 

A kind word could be just what the tired cashier needs. A kind word could be what the stranger you pass on the street needs. 

A kind word could be just what the stressed mom with a crying baby at the store needs to help her feel that she is not the only person in the world that day dealing with the cries.

A kind word to a teacher could be the reason she returns to the classroom tomorrow. 

A kind word to a teenager could be what saves their life that day.

It is true that you never know how someone else is feeling or what they are going through. Words can be easily spoken and a smile to go with a kind word could be the exact thing that they need at the moment you pass them. 

A simple hello to the person behind you in line at the grocery could speak volumes. 

You never know the impact your kind words will have.

 As I was looking through my posts today, I see that I have failed my readers. Many of you were aware that my other daughter was pregnant and going to deliver in July, I am sure those of you that knew are wondering why I never posted about that and I must say that life has just gotten in the way, and I thought that I had written a post. Since I know I did not, I will now! He came when Mamaw was out of town! Can you believe that? He actually had the nerve to do something so ridiculous as to come while I was at the Pink Zebra reunion (our annual conference). I was with four of my best friends when we got the announcement that he was here! I was so happy that I was able to share that news with them before anyone else. Of course, the leaders of the company were there and anxious to hear how she was doing as well.  Deliver went fairly smooth, but she was in labor for quite a while. Something is Falling From The Sky

 Yesterday and today have been very cool days here on the farm and I must say that something that we don't recognize has been falling from the sky. It is wet and seems to be hanging around. IT is certainly what the ground needed as it seems to have soaked it up almost immediately. Rain, glorious rain!! The ducks are loving their pool and the rain, but I truly don't think that they are liking the cooler temperatures so much. I know I am not. I don't mind cool, but wearing my sweatshirt in June is not fun.  The white turkeys are enjoying the coop that my husband put together for them. We have 5 of them and two others. We won't be keeping all of the toms as we have too many.  Nesting boxes made of milk crates that we had lying around work well attached to the back wall.  Here is Tom. Happy Homemaker Monday - Jan. 15,2024

 Good Monday morning ladies, how are you? It is super cold here, but I am thankful for our wood stove and plenty of good heat. I am joining Sandra over at  Diary of a Stay At Home Mom  for the Happy Homemaker Monday link up party. She is so kind to host this weekly and there are many of us bloggers that enjoy this weekly post.  The Weather: Cold, snowy, below zero wind chills and temperatures of a night. I believe our high for the day is to be 7 degrees F. BRR!!!!!! I hate winter when it is like this. I don't mind cold, but I don't like Artic cold. I am not a fan of the ice that occurs when we have temperatures like this.  Right Now, I Am: Sitting at my desk drinking coffee. As I look out the window, I see a bit of snow and maybe a bit of a sunrise. It is about -18 degrees with the windchill and so it looks cold!
