Olympic Gold
Like many Americans, I am a huge fan of the Olympics. I especially love the winter Olympics due to the fact that snowboarding, ice skating, bobsledding, and skiing are a majority of the events. This year, Olympic Gold is not coming easy to our athletes. The United States are not in the lead or even in the top three in medal count, but that doesn't mean that our athletes are not still some of the best in the world. American athletes that reach the Olympics must know that they are good. They must know that they are some of the most outstanding in their events. The games at the Olympics are just another major game that they are participating in and many things often go wrong at this time the same as in any other competition that they participate in. I feel that we have seen that in just the ice skating performances this year. Whether it be nerves, a misstep or a just a landing not hit right, things happen and athletes do not always perform their best, but they are still good. With
