Our life is one of fun, but hard work on our hobby farm. Horses, chickens, dogs, cats, ducks, guineas, pigs, and many other animals can reside here and we love every minute of it! This blog will be a variety of things as well as my thoughts on current events.

New author alert! Marie Spears Botkin is a new author, and this book is available on Amazon. All readers should step into The Sparkle Forest. Is it a real place or a place in Avery's dream? Is it real or imaginary? The story begins with Avery, a child in the foster system, being new in town learning of a bridge in the town of Cloud that has an interesting story behind it. As Avery dreads the upcoming Halloween holiday, which happens to be her birthday, she suddenly is sent a mysterious letter in the mail. Will the meeting with Merry Mother really happen? Who is Merry Mother and how can she possibly know anything about Avery? Is this a prank? Avery will only find out if she goes to this meeting, so she asks if she is allowed to attend a birthday party that evening instead of trick or treating. The evening will be a very unique trip for Avery and her life will change following a trip to The Sparkle Forest. Similar to Alice in Wonderland, this story will hit people in many dif...

I do it more for my small business than for personal reasons normally, but this year it is for both. I thought about many words, but this word seems to be the one that stands out to me and the one that combines many of the others. My word for 2025 is going to be GROWTH. Growth in not only my small business, but also in my team, my other job, my personal life, and within myself. I want to grow in my love for Christ and my love for my family. GROWTH will bring change, and change will bring new challenges to face, but growth will also allow me to do more of the things that I love and have planned for the year. I have begun using the word daily in all my business aspects. When I am training new people, I speak of growth. As I am working my business, I am speaking of growth. I want to grow my customer base, my sales, and my team. I want to grow as a leader and a m...
