It's Monday and day 16 of the year, this post will basically tell you all about what I am up to this week at the funny farm. 


The Weather...

   It is cold here this morning, but our temperatures this week are supposed to be more like early spring than winter. Although there is rain forecasted for most of the week, I will gladly take it and warmer temperatures over the extreme cold and snow or ice. 


Right Now I Am...

   Trying to write this while waiting for water to boil for a tea party with the grands and my daughter. I am listening to cartoons and my oldest grand and her mom playing with the Barbie Dream House that she got for Christmas. It has been a hectic morning already and it is only 10 a.m.


Thinking...

   I am thinking about all of the stuff I need to do today as well as the crafting class I am headed to tonight with a friend. I don't have my Bible study even completed today, but I have made mini quiches and baked a cinnamon bun cake for our tea party as well as decorated and got the activities out. 


On My Reading Pile...

I am still reading this book, although I have gotten quite a bit of it read recently. With the rainy weather we are going to have this week, I should be able to finish it. 


On My TV...

I watched My Friend Flicka yesterday and I watch Swat and Fire Country each week. Other than that, I am not watching much at the moment. 


Something Fun To Share...

   I am enjoying my grands quite a bit. They are cute and are certainly a bright spot in the day. 


On The Menu:

   I am going out to eat tonight with a friend. I am not sure of what the husband will eat. 

Tuesday: Chili or Chicken Parmesan

Wednesday : Five Bean Dinner

Thursday: Unsure

Friday: Fish


My To Do List...

    Today is the following:  Sweep, Mop, Bible Study, Pink Zebra VIP posts for the week, Meet my friend for a crafting class and dinner.


Looking Around...

   I see that the grandkids picked up fairly good, but I have to sweep and mop and put away the cake that we had with our party.


Looking Forward To This Week...

   The tea party that we had for today and the crafting class tonight. Other than that, I am looking forward to a week that I do not have a lot to do and I can relax a bit more at home. 


On My Prayer List...

   My daughter and unborn grandbaby

    My granddaughter each day in school as she is struggling with a few things

    My husband as his back and neck have been hurting

    My husband's cousin as he is dealing with a health issue. 


Bible Verse...

   “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”

The Bible truly explains just how to have eternal life if we are just willing to read, listen, and learn.

 As I was looking through my posts today, I see that I have failed my readers. Many of you were aware that my other daughter was pregnant and going to deliver in July, I am sure those of you that knew are wondering why I never posted about that and I must say that life has just gotten in the way, and I thought that I had written a post. Since I know I did not, I will now! He came when Mamaw was out of town! Can you believe that? He actually had the nerve to do something so ridiculous as to come while I was at the Pink Zebra reunion (our annual conference). I was with four of my best friends when we got the announcement that he was here! I was so happy that I was able to share that news with them before anyone else. Of course, the leaders of the company were there and anxious to hear how she was doing as well.  Deliver went fairly smooth, but she was in labor for quite a while. I am not sure on hours, but I think about 6 hours. There were some issues with my daughter following delivery

Something is Falling From The Sky

 Yesterday and today have been very cool days here on the farm and I must say that something that we don't recognize has been falling from the sky. It is wet and seems to be hanging around. IT is certainly what the ground needed as it seems to have soaked it up almost immediately. Rain, glorious rain!! The ducks are loving their pool and the rain, but I truly don't think that they are liking the cooler temperatures so much. I know I am not. I don't mind cool, but wearing my sweatshirt in June is not fun.  The white turkeys are enjoying the coop that my husband put together for them. We have 5 of them and two others. We won't be keeping all of the toms as we have too many.  Nesting boxes made of milk crates that we had lying around work well attached to the back wall.  Here is Tom. He is such a great boy, but he likes to show off. He gets along well with the chickens.  These are my Old English chickens. I like them as they are small and will never get much bigger. I actu

Happy Homemaker Monday - 1/8/24

 Hello! Welcome to my first Happy Homemaker Monday post for 2024. I am happy to join Sandra at  Diary of A Stay At Home Mom  to participate in this series. How has everyone's Monday morning been so far? Mine is slow as most Mondays, but I will be busy later. I really need to work on my direct sales business and get my inventory done for the year. Taxes will be soon and I need that information.  The Weather: The weather is predicted to be a little unsettled this week with periods of rain and snow throughout the week. Daytime highs in the 30's and 40's, which is a bit above average with lows in the upper 20's and lower 30's. Not too bad for this time of the year. I hate the rain as it just makes the farm a muddy, sloppy mess.  Right Now I Am: Sitting at my desk listening to the news and writing this post.
