Good Monday Morning! I have a busy week ahead and so I am attempting to get this on here early today to join Sandra at Diary of a Stay At Home Mom and read the many Happy Homemaker Posts that you will find under her post. It is just a simple way to look into our weeks.


THE WEATHER

   CRAZY!!! It snowed yesterday, but most of it melted before the day was over. We are predicted to get a winter storm this week, but I hope we do not.

MY WEEK

  My morning has been rushed because it seems nothing has gone right. I am in a hurry before we leave to go to our Pink Zebra show that we are selling at for the week. Things will be fine once I get moving along. I am looking forward to the week with my daughter.

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE

  Coffee so far. I will be eating something as we travel this morning so that I can take my medicine for the day.

ON MY READING PILE

  A Colebridge Quilted Christmas, which I have been reading for several weeks. I am ready to finish it and start a good mystery. Hopefully, I won't be reading this next week. 

ON MY TV

  My daughter only has antenna tv so I won't be watching much this week. I watched The Beverly Hillbillies last night, which I enjoyed. It is nice sometimes to see the older sitcoms, which I feel are better than most of what is on television today.

THE MENU

  I have no idea as my daughter will be cooking this week. I will help a bit, but I do not have to plan which is quite a relief. It is nice to have a break from menu planning. She is a very good cook and usually has a plan in place.

AS I LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE

  I see the work that we accomplished yesterday. We had to clean up some of the stuff that she had out from getting ready for this big week of selling. I see the home that my daughter has dreamed of for several years and I am happy to say she is blessed at the moment in life. I find her home inviting and homey.

MY TO DO LIST

My to do list is not much this week. Keep up with my blogging, work daily 9 to 8, and do my online surveys, Good Reads, etc.

    I hope your sale goes really well for you and you enjoy your time with your daughter.
    My week has been crazy and a bit difficult too and hopefully this week will be a bit more sane.

    I love the Beverly hillbillies, and think they are a very underrated show! Remember when Jethro wanted to be a double naught spy?

    I grew up watching all the old sitcoms and always love them. Beverly Hillbillies was one of the best. Hope everything goes great for you this week!

 As I was looking through my posts today, I see that I have failed my readers. Many of you were aware that my other daughter was pregnant and going to deliver in July, I am sure those of you that knew are wondering why I never posted about that and I must say that life has just gotten in the way, and I thought that I had written a post. Since I know I did not, I will now! He came when Mamaw was out of town! Can you believe that? He actually had the nerve to do something so ridiculous as to come while I was at the Pink Zebra reunion (our annual conference). I was with four of my best friends when we got the announcement that he was here! I was so happy that I was able to share that news with them before anyone else. Of course, the leaders of the company were there and anxious to hear how she was doing as well.  Deliver went fairly smooth, but she was in labor for quite a while. I am not sure on hours, but I think about 6 hours. There were some issues with my daughter following delivery

Something is Falling From The Sky

 Yesterday and today have been very cool days here on the farm and I must say that something that we don't recognize has been falling from the sky. It is wet and seems to be hanging around. IT is certainly what the ground needed as it seems to have soaked it up almost immediately. Rain, glorious rain!! The ducks are loving their pool and the rain, but I truly don't think that they are liking the cooler temperatures so much. I know I am not. I don't mind cool, but wearing my sweatshirt in June is not fun.  The white turkeys are enjoying the coop that my husband put together for them. We have 5 of them and two others. We won't be keeping all of the toms as we have too many.  Nesting boxes made of milk crates that we had lying around work well attached to the back wall.  Here is Tom. Happy Homemaker Monday - 1/8/24

 Hello! Welcome to my first Happy Homemaker Monday post for 2024. I am happy to join Sandra at  Diary of A Stay At Home Mom  to participate in this series. How has everyone's Monday morning been so far? Mine is slow as most Mondays, but I will be busy later. I really need to work on my direct sales business and get my inventory done for the year. Taxes will be soon and I need that information.  The Weather: The weather is predicted to be a little unsettled this week with periods of rain and snow throughout the week. Daytime highs in the 30's and 40's, which is a bit above average with lows in the upper 20's and lower 30's. Not too bad for this time of the year. I hate the rain as it just makes the farm a muddy, sloppy mess.  Right Now I Am: Sitting at my desk listening to the news and writing this post.
