The Masked Singer Season 9 Episode 1

 The Masked Singer premiered last night and I must say that I was shocked at the two celebrities that went home. It was one of the best episodes of the show that I have seen in the last few seasons and one of the losers was a true icon to the music world. 



As usual, the show began with three contestants, each performing their own unique song and what performances each gave us. 

Contestant Number One

The Gnome

As soon as this contestant began to sing, I knew who it was. The clues were helpful, but the voice was a true legendary voice that I knew immediately.  No one on the panel guessed this person correct. When the mask was off, Nicole was moved to tears to learn of who was behind this mask. 

Contestant Number Two

The Mustang


This contest was certainly a singer. A couple of her clues gave her away, but I just did not catch on. This lady is talented and knows her way around a stage. It is sad that she was eliminated shortly after the Gnome as both of them were huge talents. 

Contestant Number 3

Medusa

This singer has me stumped as to who she is. She was night one's winner , but I did not feel that she done the best with the Battle Royale and not sure that I would have picked her as the winner for the night. She was the winner though. The only clue that I feel I caught on to was that she has some connection to the Super Bowl and I feel that she may be from England.

Gnome was none other than legendary Dick Van Dyke. Honored to be performing at 97 years old and his unmasking brought Nicole to tears as she said greatness was among them. 
The Mustang was country star Sara Evans. The clue that gave it away was suds in a bucket, which was a huge hit for her!

    I just saw this on T.V. Dick Van Dyke looks so amazing for his age!!!

    I absolutely love The Masked Singer! It always scares me a little when I agree with Ken though as I was also thinking that Medusa might be Meghan Markle. Of course, I missed the Battle Royale somehow and only saw the unmasking so I don't know how she sounded the second time around. Personally, I thought the mustang was the better of the two. And seeing Dick Van Dyke was so heartwarming.

 As I was looking through my posts today, I see that I have failed my readers. Many of you were aware that my other daughter was pregnant and going to deliver in July, I am sure those of you that knew are wondering why I never posted about that and I must say that life has just gotten in the way, and I thought that I had written a post. Since I know I did not, I will now! He came when Mamaw was out of town! Can you believe that? He actually had the nerve to do something so ridiculous as to come while I was at the Pink Zebra reunion (our annual conference). I was with four of my best friends when we got the announcement that he was here! I was so happy that I was able to share that news with them before anyone else. Of course, the leaders of the company were there and anxious to hear how she was doing as well.  Deliver went fairly smooth, but she was in labor for quite a while. Something is Falling From The Sky

 Yesterday and today have been very cool days here on the farm and I must say that something that we don't recognize has been falling from the sky. It is wet and seems to be hanging around. IT is certainly what the ground needed as it seems to have soaked it up almost immediately. Rain, glorious rain!! The ducks are loving their pool and the rain, but I truly don't think that they are liking the cooler temperatures so much. I know I am not. I don't mind cool, but wearing my sweatshirt in June is not fun.  The white turkeys are enjoying the coop that my husband put together for them. We have 5 of them and two others. We won't be keeping all of the toms as we have too many.  Nesting boxes made of milk crates that we had lying around work well attached to the back wall.  Here is Tom. Happy Homemaker Monday - Jan. 15,2024

 Good Monday morning ladies, how are you? It is super cold here, but I am thankful for our wood stove and plenty of good heat. I am joining Sandra over at  Diary of a Stay At Home Mom  for the Happy Homemaker Monday link up party. She is so kind to host this weekly and there are many of us bloggers that enjoy this weekly post.  The Weather: Cold, snowy, below zero wind chills and temperatures of a night. I believe our high for the day is to be 7 degrees F. BRR!!!!!! I hate winter when it is like this. I don't mind cold, but I don't like Artic cold. I am not a fan of the ice that occurs when we have temperatures like this.  Right Now, I Am: Sitting at my desk drinking coffee.
