A New Year

2019! Does that sound odd to anyone else? It does to me! It's a new year and so we have a clean slate on which to write our next chapters of our lives. For many the last few months of last year brought health issues, money issues, and many of the other challenges that life brings us, but now is the time to begin anew and fresh.

Do you look anxiously toward the new year or just face it with whatever mood you are in at the time? I always find that I am looking forward to the coming of the new year as it brings a chance to make things a little better than they have been in the past year. I never make resolutions that stick around so I have decided that I won't make any this year, but I do have some plans and I have always been told that nothing is a goal until you have written it down so here are so goals that this farm gal plans to attempt to reach this year.

  1. Be sure to keep this blog current with posts at least 3 times a week.
  2. Be sure to update my Pink Zebra blog at least 2 times a week.
  3. Spend more time traveling than I have in the past.
  4. Make improvements to the farm that are beyond time to be done.
  5. Get a goat
  6. Laugh more, love more
  7. Stay Healthy
  8. Read more and share my reading list here
  9. Visit with long time friends more than I have
  10. Teach my grand doll to read.

There you have the list. Now those are all goals and can't be changed and I must see how I achieve them throughout the year. I will attempt to share each step that I make toward them and I hope that we can all be happier and healthier in the upcoming year. I hope that you can all share a little more and that you learn a little more from this blog.

My prayer is that the upcoming year brings peace throughout our country and that are politicians can be less about themselves and more about bringing this country together and realize that we are one nation under God! We need to provide liberty for all and there should not be such a huge racial or political divide in our country. Let's put down the guns and pick up the Bible! If you are not a believer of the Bible, pick up your beliefs and hold them tight but let's unite and show that we are all still believers that the United  States is the best country to live in and that we need to get back to the bases that it was built on.

Until next time, may your trail be blessed and your ride be smooth!

  2. Such good goals! I love the one......get a goat! Dean and Sherry are going to get baby goats this spring and that will be so much fun!
I am committing to pray for President Trump, his family, staff, cabinet and all our leaders every day.
I look forward to hearing about the books you are reading! That’s one of my goals, too!
