Checking In

Good Morning! I pray that each of you are having a good day as you read this. I just realized that it has been several days since I made a post, so I thought I should catch you up on life here at the farm. Things are going good, I guess. Life is just so crazy these days and it seems as though I am always behind on something.

Wedding plans are still in the works for my daughter. We have been quite busy with preparations even though the wedding is over a year away. It takes a lot of planning to make it just the perfect for you day. She is hoping to do many things herself. I know one of my readers mentioned that she was a wedding planner, but I can't remember who. If you are reading this and you mentioned that to me or remember who did, please comment so I can get in touch with you as she has a couple of questions.

I attended a bridal show last night and it was quite the treat. We tasted many styles and flavors of cake. There were also caterers there to allow you to taste a little of what food they could provide and I realized that I am a fairly simple taste kind of gal. Some of the foods that were available where just not something that I would prefer to eat. I found one place that I truly enjoyed.

I will say that I won a raffle gift while there. My daughter laughed when I told her what it was and said "only my mother". The show was hosted by a winery and I won a basket of two bottles of wine along with two wine tumblers and 4 tickets to the picnic series concert at the winery. I was excited!  My daughter said I was supposed to be winning something for the wedding. LOL!! I said it was my gift for having to go to this event for her.

My friends and I are going to celebrate their March birthdays this Saturday. I am the only one of the four of us that does not have a birthday this month. We will be going to a new restaurant that is located near us that is in the old post office and the owners say that they proudly have kept some of the original décor. I am certain that it is going to be an adventure to see some of the original items and it is "real" food. The menu contains many fresh food choices and farm raised meats from what I am learning. I believe it will be a fun experience and I look forward to sharing that with you.

Well, I have chatted enough. I will leave you today with a farm photo that I have shared before, but I still enjoy looking at it.
