One of the most memorable moments of the show was when Garth Brooks took the stage to sing "All American Kid". He honored the American military with the song and members of the military that were at the awards. As he was singing, military members walked the aisles of the venue. Garth's guitar was done in red, white, and blue to resemble the flag. This was a tear jerking moment if there was one in the entire show.
Miranda Lambert took the show by storm by having a whopping 8 nominations and winning three of those eight categories. Her album, "Platinum" won Album of the Year and she was honored as Female Vocalist of the Year. She performed her hit song, "Little Red Wagon", which is one of my current favorite songs on the radio. Her husband, Blake Shelton, was one of the co host on the show along with Luke Bryan. I feel that they done a great job and although Blake was nominated for some awards, he did not take any home. However, he is a talented singer and song writer.
Many greats took the stage such as Brooks and Dunn, Garth, George Strait, Alabama, and Kenny Chesney to name a few. Chesney, Brooks and Dunn, George Strait, and a few others were honored with milestone awards. For the night, it was all about the country music and the stars that we love so much!
