Speak Up! Even if you are wrong!

I usually prefer that people mind their own business, but I am encouraging you all to say something to someone if you feel there is anything out of place with neighbors. Following the case that is happening now in California, where 13 children have been recovered from a home and authorities are saying that the children have been abused and tortured for years, PLEASE  pay attention and speak up if you see something wrong. You can report things like this anonymously and it MUST  be done!

These poor children needed someone to speak up. It is reported that family members had tried to visit and were given the wrong address or something, neighbors report that they either saw the children out at night and that they looked very pale, or that they had seen them scavenging through the trash, and other things that I just find appalling that someone did not alert authorities.

I hate when these stories hit the news because I always catch the fact that it is reported that the children were home schooled. NO, they were being held prisoner in their own home. That is not home schooling. If you are a home school parent or know a home school parent, I would bet that you would not hear that their children are never out of the home. I home schooled my children for several years and we were probably gone more than we were home. Field trips, daily grocery runs, errands, library trips, etc. We were busy!!

Children do not tend to dig in the trash. Children do not normally play outside at night. Children should not be pale unless something is wrong with them. Parents leaving without their children is not right. PLEASE,  I am begging you to speak up. These children are thankfully now safe from these monsters, but who knows if any children died in their care. These children are scarred for life! These children needed someone and no one took the time to say anything.

Just last week in a local area, three women were in a parking lot and seen a man abusing his girlfriend/wife and these three ladies came to her aid and attacked the attacker. I am thrilled! If more people would do this, our world might see a change. I am not saying you should attack anyone, but speak up. Call the police! Help a neighbor. If you think there is something strange going on, try to talk to someone. If you know a neighbor is being abused, don't turn the other cheek. Offer help!

You might just save a life!!!!
