Sunday Morning Smiles

I have a full day of things planned as it is our annual friends Christmas party. I will share my goodies another day so that each of you are able to see the thoughtful gifts that my friends give me. There are 6 of us that will be attending, but two of them are my daughters so I won't receive gifts from them today as we will wait till Christmas. We are meeting for a lunch today instead of at someone's house and I am thrilled to be able to walk into the restaurant, although I am still in some pain. 

While my kids were on their Thanksgiving trip, they took the grands to Bass Pro Shop and were able to have pictures taken with Santa. 


Isn't this one of the cutest photos ever? I sure do love these girls and I can't imagine life without them. Many of you know that the youngest one was a hard adjustment for me, but I have learned to love her and she is just as special as the older one. I am thankful for both of them as God placed them here for a reason. The older one has a heart that longs for Gods' word. She is so intelligent and she loves school. She just made the A/B honor roll! The younger one is full of smiles and has so much energy. She is learning so much and I am sure she will follow in her sisters' footsteps when she starts school.

Have you decorated for the holidays yet? With the foot surgery, I am limited in what I can do and I am thankful for the decorations that I have up, but my husband and I do not have a tree yet and that upsets me. I hope we can go this week and get one. We always do a live tree and so we have to wait until December. but I am so ready. I have a few decorations up and I know that we are not going to do as many as normal, but I need more than I have.

 As I was looking through my posts today, I see that I have failed my readers. Many of you were aware that my other daughter was pregnant and going to deliver in July, I am sure those of you that knew are wondering why I never posted about that and I must say that life has just gotten in the way, and I thought that I had written a post. Since I know I did not, I will now! He came when Mamaw was out of town! Can you believe that? He actually had the nerve to do something so ridiculous as to come while I was at the Pink Zebra reunion (our annual conference). I was with four of my best friends when we got the announcement that he was here! I was so happy that I was able to share that news with them before anyone else. Of course, the leaders of the company were there and anxious to hear how she was doing as well.  Deliver went fairly smooth, but she was in labor for quite a while. Something is Falling From The Sky

 Yesterday and today have been very cool days here on the farm and I must say that something that we don't recognize has been falling from the sky. It is wet and seems to be hanging around. IT is certainly what the ground needed as it seems to have soaked it up almost immediately. Rain, glorious rain!! The ducks are loving their pool and the rain, but I truly don't think that they are liking the cooler temperatures so much. I know I am not. I don't mind cool, but wearing my sweatshirt in June is not fun.  The white turkeys are enjoying the coop that my husband put together for them. We have 5 of them and two others. We won't be keeping all of the toms as we have too many.  Nesting boxes made of milk crates that we had lying around work well attached to the back wall.  Here is Tom. Happy Homemaker Monday - 1/8/24

 Hello! Welcome to my first Happy Homemaker Monday post for 2024. I am happy to join Sandra at  Diary of A Stay At Home Mom  to participate in this series. How has everyone's Monday morning been so far? Mine is slow as most Mondays, but I will be busy later. I really need to work on my direct sales business and get my inventory done for the year. Taxes will be soon and I need that information.  The Weather: The weather is predicted to be a little unsettled this week with periods of rain and snow throughout the week. Daytime highs in the 30's and 40's, which is a bit above average with lows in the upper 20's and lower 30's. Not too bad for this time of the year. I hate the rain as it just makes the farm a muddy, sloppy mess.  Right Now I Am: Sitting at my desk listening to the news and writing this post.
