Happy Homemaker Monday - December 26, 2022
Good snowy, cold Monday morning! The past week has been a challenge to so many across the United States struggling with this massive winter storm that brought artic temperatures with it. I know many have struggled to keep warm and deal with frozen pipes. Even in areas that are accustomed to snow and cold, this brutal bout of cold has been difficult.
:::::The Weather::::
We have already discussed the weather, but our next few days are looking better. Tomorrow we should be above freezing for the first time since Thursday and in the mid 50's by the weekend. The weather man is saying that the warmer air is coming, but so is the rain.
:::: On The Breakfast Plate ::
I did not eat breakfast today because I needed to take my daughter to the grocery store. I have been enjoying a nice bowl of oatmeal most mornings since it has gotten colder. I add a bit of half and half and some brown sugar.
:::: On my reading pile ::::
I have been working on several different projects lately and have not been reading so I truly do not know what is at the top of the pile other than my daily Bible reading.
:::: On my TV ::::
I have mainly been watching Christmas shows. I have seen a couple of previews for upcoming shows that I want to see. There is a new one to be shown on Fox in January about a team that looks for missing persons that I believe will be of interest to me.
:::: On the menu this week ::::
Monday: Lasagna and Garlic Bread
Tuesday: Sweet Glazed Pork Chops, Cheddar Broccoli Rice, Butter Beans
Wednesday: Beef Roast , Potatoes, Carrots, Celery
Thursday: Unsure
Friday: Leftovers if my husband is gone
:::: From The Camera This Week ::::
:::: To do List ::::
Sweep and mop dining room and kitchen
Vacuum the living room
Cook dinner
Straighten desk and get prepared to start the new year organized and ready
I hope each of my readers had a fantastic Christmas and I pray that you will each find happiness and peace in the New Year. I look forward to many more years of blogging and connecting with friends.

I love that winter photo! We had the frigid cold and strong winds but not much snow in my area. And snow is my favorite! We have a broken water pipe that froze but we were lucky to keep our heat and electricity. There are MANY apartments and senior buildings that have no heat! It's terrible. I hope you have a good week and things warm up like they are supposed to.
ReplyDeleteIt has gotten much warmer. Yes, I love that photo. I found it online in free images.
DeleteThat winter photo is gorgeous! Wouldn't really want to drive on that road though. We got lucky, just super cold and a bit of snow. It'll probably all be gone by tomorrow afternoon. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteFree image from Google. I have some photos that look similar. We did not have much snow either.
DeleteHave fun with your granddaughter. My older two grands are here with us during the week. Grands make life grand!
ReplyDeleteYes, I love having mine here.
DeleteI have been making lasagna as well. Wonderful that it will be warming up!
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be in the 60's here on Tuesday.
DeleteIt was ten degrees on Christmas and should be 40 tomorrow, thankfully. Also thankfully it isn't icy out. Wishes for a happy and healthy new year.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was miserable here for a few days, but warmer now.
DeleteHappy New Year! We are heading to the ranch tomorrow for six days! Freezing weather gone now so it will be so GOOD to just BE THERE!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and enjoy the ranch.
DeleteWe had the snowstorm too but instead of snow it turned mostly in winds... power outages everywhere around us (we were lucky with just 4 hours without). Enjoy your time with your grands and have a great week
ReplyDeleteI am thankful that we did not lose power.
DeleteThose sweet glazed pork chops sure sound good. Stay warm and have a great rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteThey are delicious.
DeleteIt wasn't my street, but it is beautiful here when it snows.
