Celebrating Christmas With Friends

 Last night was a night full of friends, fun, and some amazing music. A dear friend of mine, Libby had purchased a concert ticket for a few of us as a Christmas present and I must say that it was a blessing. I had reservations about going due to the foot issues, but I am thankful that I went. There were a couple of hiccups due to having to walk a flight of steps that I was unaware of; I managed and had a nice evening. 


The concert was sponsored by K Love a Christian music station and was a Christmas Celebration with Danny Gokey  and Natalie Grant. Each singer is immensely talented and brings an energy to the stage that is unsurpassed. Together they brought the spirit of Christ and Christmas to each person in the crowd. Each performer brought a different element to the stage and provided a musical experience that will not be forgotten. 


Danny Gokey may best be known for his time on American Idol. His performances landed him a third place finish in Season 8 and has given him the opportunity to go on to do many performances and recordings. His voice is amazing and his stage presence is one of professionalism and fun rolled in together.  

The stage was a picture perfect scene for any Christmas music fan. There was even snow falling behind them as they sang. 





I had never heard Natalie Grant before, but her talent is absolutely breathtaking. Her range of song styles was such a blessing. I am certainly a fan of hers now and will be listening to more of her music.

    This sounds like such a wonderful gift and concert. Both singers are my favorites. Glad you were able to go despite the foot problems.

    I am so glad you went and enjoyed the concert and the night out. I love Danny Gokey. My grandkids last name is Gokey and the oldest one sings...always sang in school performances, at her church mass, etc. A few years ago Danny Gokey sang at a local concert place and my granddaughter opened for him...after explaining to people that she was no relation. It was such a highlight for her to sing before he came on. He is just a really nice guy.

 As I was looking through my posts today, I see that I have failed my readers. Many of you were aware that my other daughter was pregnant and going to deliver in July, I am sure those of you that knew are wondering why I never posted about that and I must say that life has just gotten in the way, and I thought that I had written a post. Since I know I did not, I will now! He came when Mamaw was out of town! Can you believe that? He actually had the nerve to do something so ridiculous as to come while I was at the Pink Zebra reunion (our annual conference). I was with four of my best friends when we got the announcement that he was here! I was so happy that I was able to share that news with them before anyone else. Of course, the leaders of the company were there and anxious to hear how she was doing as well.  Deliver went fairly smooth, but she was in labor for quite a while. Something is Falling From The Sky

 Yesterday and today have been very cool days here on the farm and I must say that something that we don't recognize has been falling from the sky. It is wet and seems to be hanging around. IT is certainly what the ground needed as it seems to have soaked it up almost immediately. Rain, glorious rain!! The ducks are loving their pool and the rain, but I truly don't think that they are liking the cooler temperatures so much. I know I am not. I don't mind cool, but wearing my sweatshirt in June is not fun.  The white turkeys are enjoying the coop that my husband put together for them. We have 5 of them and two others. We won't be keeping all of the toms as we have too many.  Nesting boxes made of milk crates that we had lying around work well attached to the back wall.  Here is Tom. Happy Homemaker Monday - Jan. 15,2024

 Good Monday morning ladies, how are you? It is super cold here, but I am thankful for our wood stove and plenty of good heat. I am joining Sandra over at  Diary of a Stay At Home Mom  for the Happy Homemaker Monday link up party. She is so kind to host this weekly and there are many of us bloggers that enjoy this weekly post.  The Weather: Cold, snowy, below zero wind chills and temperatures of a night. I believe our high for the day is to be 7 degrees F. BRR!!!!!! I hate winter when it is like this. I don't mind cold, but I don't like Artic cold. I am not a fan of the ice that occurs when we have temperatures like this.  Right Now, I Am: Sitting at my desk drinking coffee.
