Sunshine - 60 Degrees - Good For The Soul

Good Evening! I feel better than I did over the weekend and I must tell you all that we had sunshine and 60 degree weather today and it was SO good for the soul!! I had laundry to do and a repair man coming to work on the stove today, but I made sure that I got out into the sunshine and that I even sat on the porch today and read a few lines of my book. How great that sun and warmth felt!!!

I was so tired of the grey skies and cooler temperatures. I pray that we are seeing the turn to spring, although I am sure it is way too early. I believe that the weather forecast calls for snow flurries and mid 30's by the middle of the week. I dread to think of those kinds of temperatures but I also am fully aware that Indiana weather changes quickly and is all over the place in terms of temperatures and precipitation.


This picture is one that I believe I took off of another free photo site, but I thought that it was perfect for today. The sun literally felt as though it had opened up a new window to the world. I know that sounds corny, but it was how I felt.
I will certainly be thanking God for the day we had and asking Him for more just like it!!!

    It was 70 degrees here, too! Just what we needed after such a dreary winter. So beautiful! Maybe this will be enough to tide us over till spring.

    Maybe so. I heard someone say we hit 70 yesterday, but I don't believe it was quite that warm.

    We had a very mild day yesterday with sunshine. It was heaven. Today is a bit colder and it's been rather gloomy. I am so ready for spring. That picture is so pretty.

 As I was looking through my posts today, I see that I have failed my readers. Many of you were aware that my other daughter was pregnant and going to deliver in July, I am sure those of you that knew are wondering why I never posted about that and I must say that life has just gotten in the way, and I thought that I had written a post. Since I know I did not, I will now! He came when Mamaw was out of town! Can you believe that? He actually had the nerve to do something so ridiculous as to come while I was at the Pink Zebra reunion (our annual conference). I was with four of my best friends when we got the announcement that he was here! I was so happy that I was able to share that news with them before anyone else. Of course, the leaders of the company were there and anxious to hear how she was doing as well.  Deliver went fairly smooth, but she was in labor for quite a while. Something is Falling From The Sky

 Yesterday and today have been very cool days here on the farm and I must say that something that we don't recognize has been falling from the sky. It is wet and seems to be hanging around. IT is certainly what the ground needed as it seems to have soaked it up almost immediately. Rain, glorious rain!! The ducks are loving their pool and the rain, but I truly don't think that they are liking the cooler temperatures so much. I know I am not. I don't mind cool, but wearing my sweatshirt in June is not fun.  The white turkeys are enjoying the coop that my husband put together for them. We have 5 of them and two others. We won't be keeping all of the toms as we have too many.  Nesting boxes made of milk crates that we had lying around work well attached to the back wall.  Here is Tom. Happy Homemaker Monday - 1/8/24

 Hello! Welcome to my first Happy Homemaker Monday post for 2024. I am happy to join Sandra at  Diary of A Stay At Home Mom  to participate in this series. How has everyone's Monday morning been so far? Mine is slow as most Mondays, but I will be busy later. I really need to work on my direct sales business and get my inventory done for the year. Taxes will be soon and I need that information.  The Weather: The weather is predicted to be a little unsettled this week with periods of rain and snow throughout the week. Daytime highs in the 30's and 40's, which is a bit above average with lows in the upper 20's and lower 30's. Not too bad for this time of the year. I hate the rain as it just makes the farm a muddy, sloppy mess.  Right Now I Am: Sitting at my desk listening to the news and writing this post.
