Friday Weekly Update

 What a week it has been. A storm moved in last weekend and dumped 14 inches of snow before it barreled out of here and left us with well below average temperatures to deal with all week. Schools have been closed all week and are just now reopening. My husband has been plowing for several days and is finally beginning to get caught up. He even took the granddoll yesterday and let her shovel some driveways and earn some money. She made $46 and was so excited!!!

We lost a few chickens due to the cold, even though we have a heat lamp in the coop. It just seems like this year has really been a long winter and it just got cold and snowy in the last couple of weeks. I don't remember ever being this cold for this long at one stretch in the last few years. Plus, with the amount of snow we have, it makes getting to the coop and the pig pen almost impossible. 

I am slowly being able to get the house back in order and slowly, getting back into a routine. My daughter that lives next door stayed with us while school was out (she works at school so no work for her) and she does not have the same mindset as I do for housework. She will leave dishes in the sink for the entire day, but I like mine washed as we go. She does not understand I don't leave laundry in the dryer once it shuts off and other small things like that. 

I have not had much progress on my reading this week due to everyone being here either. Not much to report there. I have some other things going on that I don't really want to talk about yet. I will though in time. Nothing to be concerned about as I am fine health wise. Just some personal stuff.
