Saturday 9 - Miss Me More
Miss Me More
Welcome to Saturday: 9.
What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions
every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times
the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random
questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants
posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your
choice. We hate rules. We love to answer the questions, however, and here is today's questions!
Saturday 9: Miss Me More (2018)
Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.
Chosen because October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Learn more and spread the word that help is available.
1) This song is about a girl who ditched her high heels so she wouldn't be taller than her beau. Tell us about the most recent addition to your footwear wardrobe. Do you need to go shoe shopping? I bought a pair of shoes at the beginning of summer, but I need to start looking at boots.
2) She sings that she misses the sheets on the bed she made herself. As you answer these questions, is your bed made? No, my husband is still sleeping.
3) This video shows her in a ring. Have you ever worn boxing gloves? No, I haven't. I am not a fan of the sport either.
4) This week's featured artist, Kelsea Ballerini, got married on Christmas Day in 2017. That makes their anniversary easy to remember. Are you celebrating any birthdays or anniversaries this month? As a family, we celebrated my father-in-laws birthday.
5) Kelsea has been quoted as saying, "Perfect doesn't exist." She worries that we exhaust ourselves "trying to be something that isn't real." How about you? Do you believe your best is good enough? Or do you strive for perfection? My best is good enough. I am not perfect as neither is any human being. I like for things to be done correctly, but we all make mistakes.
6) One of Kelsea's tattoos is a square inside of a circle, aka a square peg in a round hole, on her left wrist. She says it's there to remind her that it's OK to "not fit the mold of what normal might be." Tell us about a time where you felt like a square peg in a round hole. Anytime, I have to do public speaking, I feel awkward.
7) In 2018, when this song was popular, French President Emmanuel Macron lowered fuel taxes. When it's time to fill your tank, do you shop around for the best price? Most of the time, the station I prefer in town is the lowest between the three of them, but I am always wondering if I should wait till I get into a larger town to fill up.
8) Also in 2018, Luxembourg made all public transportation free. When is the last time you rode a bus or train? My friends and I took a train ride this spring in Kentucky. It was a scenic ride, but it was so much fun. I would like to take more!
9) Random question: When did you most recently say, either out loud or to yourself, "I haven't got a thing to wear?" The last time I needed to dress nice for a party. I was fully aware that my dress pants were not going to fit and yet,I was hoping. I truly did not want to wear a dress, but I did not have a thing to wear.

#2 made me smile. Imagine how surprised hubby would be if you threw the comforter over him!
ReplyDelete#8 -- Long train rides like that can be so relaxing, therapeutic and pretty.
Now, that would make me laugh
DeleteI love totake scenic train rides.. Hubs and I are talking about taking one soon..
ReplyDeleteA beautiful one in Kentucky. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Delete#6--being a teacher has cured me of that awkwardness.
ReplyDeleteWorking my Pink Zebra business has helped with it some.
DeleteI haven't taken a long train ride in decades. I do love riding on the train--so much more comfortable than a plane!
ReplyDeleteI have ridden both and a train ride is just such a unique experience these days.
DeleteUgh, I am with you on speaking to a group. I've never ridden a train, but it's on my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteWell get that ride off that bucket list soon. It is such a wonderful experience.
DeleteYou win the prize for the answer to #6! I don't think anyone else actually gave a reason for the feeling. Well done!
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you! I was very shy as a child and when I would have to give an oral report in school, I felt like dying. It is a little better, but I still don't like it.
DeleteI am not fond of public speaking either. Loved your answers! Have a nice weekend.
