Merry Christmas

Well, it is Christmas Eve here on the farm and I must say that we are certainly enjoying the warm weather that we are having. It was a very brisk morning at 29 degrees but the high today is to be in the lower 40's and for this time of year in Indiana - that is fabulous! It is supposed to be almost 50 degrees tomorrow and although, I love a nice light snowfall for Christmas, I must say that I am thankful that we won't have one tomorrow.
It really just doesn't seem like Christmas here for some reason. I have my tree up and I have done the cards and cookies, but for some reason I just am not in the Christmas mood. I was thinking yesterday that I will be glad to have the tree down, but I was so excited when I put it up. I am not sure of what is going on, but I just can't seem to find the spirit that I normally have.
However, I know that we all need to remember the real reason for the excitment and that is Christ! I actually wrote an article on Triond this morning about the political way of saying Merry Christmas and why I choose to still say Merry Christmas. I don't care who knows that I am a Christian and that I am not ashamed to share my love for Christ with others. I don't mind someone saying Happy Holidays or Season's Greetings, but I love to hear people say Merry Christmas!
To all my readers, I want to wish you all the warmest of holidays and I hope that you all have a very Merry Christmas! I am looking forward to sharing the day with family and friends. My daughter ( who recently lost her job) has found work babysitting and I am thankful for that. God is Good! He always provides and so it is hard to not share the day with His name as He is the reason that we celebrate on Dec. 25th.

 As I was looking through my posts today, I see that I have failed my readers. Many of you were aware that my other daughter was pregnant and going to deliver in July, I am sure those of you that knew are wondering why I never posted about that and I must say that life has just gotten in the way, and I thought that I had written a post. Since I know I did not, I will now! He came when Mamaw was out of town! Can you believe that? He actually had the nerve to do something so ridiculous as to come while I was at the Pink Zebra reunion (our annual conference). I was with four of my best friends when we got the announcement that he was here! I was so happy that I was able to share that news with them before anyone else. Of course, the leaders of the company were there and anxious to hear how she was doing as well.  Deliver went fairly smooth, but she was in labor for quite a while. Something is Falling From The Sky

 Yesterday and today have been very cool days here on the farm and I must say that something that we don't recognize has been falling from the sky. It is wet and seems to be hanging around. IT is certainly what the ground needed as it seems to have soaked it up almost immediately. Rain, glorious rain!! The ducks are loving their pool and the rain, but I truly don't think that they are liking the cooler temperatures so much. I know I am not. I don't mind cool, but wearing my sweatshirt in June is not fun.  The white turkeys are enjoying the coop that my husband put together for them. We have 5 of them and two others. We won't be keeping all of the toms as we have too many.  Nesting boxes made of milk crates that we had lying around work well attached to the back wall.  Here is Tom. Happy Homemaker Monday - 1/8/24

 Hello! Welcome to my first Happy Homemaker Monday post for 2024. I am happy to join Sandra at  Diary of A Stay At Home Mom  to participate in this series. How has everyone's Monday morning been so far? Mine is slow as most Mondays, but I will be busy later. I really need to work on my direct sales business and get my inventory done for the year. Taxes will be soon and I need that information.  The Weather: The weather is predicted to be a little unsettled this week with periods of rain and snow throughout the week. Daytime highs in the 30's and 40's, which is a bit above average with lows in the upper 20's and lower 30's. Not too bad for this time of the year. I hate the rain as it just makes the farm a muddy, sloppy mess.  Right Now I Am: Sitting at my desk listening to the news and writing this post.
