Sunday Blessings

 

I am growing to appreciate the simple things in life here on the farm. I am learning to love the flowers that I am filling the beds with. I even enjoy weeding them when needed. I am realizing that a morning sipping coffee on the porch is more needed than rushing to pick up all the small things we have left out during the weekend. I love to read so a good book is always appreciated. A warm wax melt or candle scenting my home and time spent reading my Bible are all important parts of my days now. 

Is it because I am older? Is it because I'm wiser? Maybe a bit of both, but I am ready for more leisure days and less stress in my life. I am hoping to retire in about 3 years and even though financially, it is not the best time for retirement, I believe that life says it is necessary.
