Christmas Lights

Hello! Welcome to our farm. I hope you will sit a spell and read to see what we have been up too.

Last weekend, my grandkids and my youngest daughter decided that it was time to go see Christmas light displays. We found one that was about an hour away from home and although, it was $20 a car to drive thru we decided that we would go.

Located at a fairground, it was not hard to find or hard to drive too although traffic did seem much heavier than usual. Maybe since we were headed to a large college town, it was traffic with students returning to college. Since it is dark at 6 p.m. as well, it seems much later than it truly is and I asked why so much traffic so late, to be informed by the 10-year-old that it was not late.

We absolutely loved driving through this tunnel of lights. I would do this to our driveway at home if I had the time.

This was near the entrance, which we thought should be at the very beginning. It is very pretty though and I found the lampposts to be the perfect accent to the sign.

A toy soldier or nutcracker, as my granddoll would say. Followed by his entire little Army.

My other granddoll that was with me thought that this road of lollipops was the coolest!

Since she is red headed, we decided that this must be her. She informed us that it was a doll that she would be too cold outside.

We loved this tree and the birds. I am not sure if this was near the section with the 12 Days of Christmas or not. I did not get those pictures for some reason. Maybe daughter did. I will ask.

This little pull duck was such a reminder of how sweet and innocent children truly are.

My absolute favorite display. The snowflakes lit up as if Santa was truly blowing out the cold snowy air. I thought it was unique and fun.

This train was another real favorite for all of us. The horse engineer is just fun and the rest of it follows along so nicely. What do you think? I would keep this in my front yard!

Santa riding on a steamboat or paddleboat as the girls call it. I thought this was a neat display as well. It is not a light that is normally seen in these kinds of displays. Fun and whimsical adds to the magic of the season.

Not the photo I wanted here and I can't delete it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!

At the exit, there was a building where you could have your picture taken with Santa and The Grinch and some shopping as well.
