A Day on the Farm - Wednesday May 6,2026

Wednesday was a stay-at-home day other than to take the grand doll to school, which was on a two hour delay due to flooded roads from the rain that we had on Tuesday.  Tuesday was local election day and since the elections are held at some of the elementary schools, the kids were out that day. Going to school till the last day of May due to snow days and flooded roads this winter, but we will let them out for that kind of stuff really makes me mad.

Being that I was home, I chose to do some cooking and caught up on laundry as well as work on my Pink Zebra and some of my online social media accounts. Life seems to constantly be in my way, but with gas being $5 a gallon, there are going to be many more home days for me. Indiana gas prices seem to be increasingly higher than most states. The governor announced that he is letting our suspended gas tax stay suspended for the time being, but I don't see how it has helped as gas is higher without it than it was before.

Omelets for the grand doll to enjoy breakfast before school. She asked for cheese ones and helped make them, but we also made one with left over bacon bits. She seemed to really like them! She eats cheese omelets when we are traveling and the hotels have them. I am sure mine were much tastier!

French toast and sausage were my husbands' breakfast and so the left-over French Toast goes into a reusable sandwich bag for grands or I to eat later. No way that is going to waste or to the pigs. We love French Toast!!

Morel mushrooms that my husband brought home. Fried those for dinner last night and they were yummy!! We had honey chicken with it as well, but I must not have gotten a photo of it. Delicious meal!

More eggs from the chickens yesterday. I have so many eggs. I am getting up to two dozen a day. Better like egg meals if you have chickens.

Hope everyone had a blessed Wednesday!
