Poem- The Bubble Gum Song

As I have been cleaning a room up in my home that contains my mothers' things, I have found some older poems and songs that were published in papers or magazines that she has saved, and I want to share them and will try to find Google images to go with them. I looked at many of these, but these were some of my favorites that I will be sharing here over the next few days.

THE BUBBLE GUM SONG

I'm forever blowing bubble gum

Bubble gum bubble gum

Ev'ry time I blow my bubble gum

Pop goes my bubble gum

When I blow a bubble how I puff.

Pop goes my bubble gum

When I chew chew chew and blow blow blow

My Mom says I'm a disgrace

When I chew chew chew and blow blow blow

Bubbles bust all over my face

I'm forever blowing bubble gume

Till I'm numb till I'm dumb

Ev'ry time I blow my bubble gum

Pop goes my bubble gum.

Now I know there are many errors in the writing, but I love the story that it tells. How many times have you blown a bubble with gum to just have it bust onto your face? In your hair? What a mess bubble gum is, but kids sure love it and what fun it is to see who has the biggest bubble in their face!
