Happy Homemaker Monday - Feb. 16,2026

I am linking up to the Happy Homemaker Monday with Sandra over at Diary of a Stay At Home Mom where many of us share what we are doing as homemakers and how our weeks are looking from the inside. Join myself and the others that share these posts weekly and give us some love and be sure to read Sandra's post as well since she is kind enough to host this link up.

*** The Weather ***

Finally, we will be above freezing each day and will even have some days that the highs will be in the 50's and 60's. Tuesday night, our lows are to be in the 50's. I am loving it. Now, let's just have a lot more sunshine as I hate the cloudy days in January and February.

*** Right now, I am ***

Writing this post and listening to one of my Spotify playlists. I just heard this song and remembered how much I love it. I hope you do too. No Body by Sylvia

*** Thinking and pondering ***

I have been pondering a bit about this Nancy Guthrie disappearance and the Epstein files being talked about so much. I generally just like to stay in the know, but these two things this week have really made me wonder just how much we can truly trust what the media or the government tells us.

*** How I am feeling ***

Better than I was last week about what I have been dealing with in my personal life, but nervous as well. I have a few appointments this week that will certainly affect how I deal with the full issue. Please keep me in your prayers as it is something very difficult for me to think of and the decisions I make will not only change myself and my life but others as well.

*** On the breakfast plate ***

Blueberries and an English Muffin

*** On the lunch plate ***

Leftover teriyaki steak and veggie sheet pan dinner. It was so delicious. My husband thought that I would put it over rice, but I did not see the need to do that. I do think a good teriyaki sauce would add to the flavor of rice for a great meal.

*** On the dinner plate ***

I am making fried drumsticks. I don't care for them so I am not sure what I will have. I need to decide on vegetables as well. I will see what I have frozen and canned.

 *** On the menu ***
I don't have a full menu planned, but I know fried drumsticks tonight. Tomorrow night I have a lot going on so it may be a fast meal of hamburgers and French fries.
Wednesday - My husband will need to cook as I am going to see the new Elvis Epic movie with friends.
Thursday - Salmon and Fish with onion rings
Friday - I may be at my daughter's house.

*** What I am wearing ***
Cotton dress. I love these in the summertime but thought that since I was going to be here most of the day, it would be perfect.

*** On my reading pile ***
I just started reading the book my husband bought me for Christmas, and it is a Christmas story.  The Christmas Ring by Karen Kingsbury. One of my absolute favorite authors and I will enjoy it for sure.

*** On my TV this week ***

I have no idea as I have watched most of what I have recorded to watch.

*** Looking around the house ***
My to do list for the day is completed and I don't care to work on any extra tasks today. I have managed to do several of my spring cleaning chores already, so I am ahead of the game, I guess.

*** To do list for today***

* Schedule physical and mammogram - This is left for today
* Write penpal letters
* Meet with home health company this week to renew my FIL's paperwork
* Visit my son and grandbaby. visit my daughter and those grandbabies

*** What I am creating ***

I am starting to work on my diamond art again. I want to do a couple of them for gifts this year. I hope the recipients like them.

*** From the camera ***

Stationery that I printed out to write penpal letters on. I have been printing a great deal of it as I can't seem to find any to order that I truly like, and I don't know anywhere near by to purchase any.

*** Devotional, Prayers, Bible Verses ***

Hope you all have a great week! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy reading.
