Happy Homemaker Monday - Feb 9,2026

Good Monday Morning! I am here to join Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom and other bloggers in writing about being homemakers and what we want to share with the rest of the world on our blogs. I am thankful to have a group of women here that still value the peace of a clean home that feels safe and where we belong.

 *** The Weather ***

*** Right now I am ***

Listening to an audio book and typing this post. I try to work on these on Sunday, but it was just too busy of a day yesterday. Plus, I was able to read quite a bit yesterday and I enjoyed that too much to stop to write here.

*** Thinking and pondering ***

There is a lot on my mind, and I can't share so much of it at the moment. I haven't even shared most of it with the full family yet, so I feel that sharing here would not be appropriate. I hope to share it soon though. Just know that I am okay and although a bit sad, I will get thru it as I can.

*** How I am feeling ***

Sad, disappointed, hurt, angry, and many other emotions. All to do with what I am thinking and pondering. However, I know that God has me in His hands and will keep me safe and in His will.

*** On the breakfast plate ***

I did not feel well this morning, so I did not eat anything.

*** On the lunch plate ***

I will eat a salad and some cheese and crackers. Trying to lose some weight and this is a great way to help me not be hungry but not eat a lot of calories.

*** On the dinner plate ***

I have no idea yet as to what it will be. I am really tired of trying to find foods that my husband and granddaughter will eat. It seems that no matter what I make it is something that one of them doesn't want or doesn't like. I want to say, well I am not a restaurant so go somewhere else.

 *** On the menu ***

I have not worked on a menu, but I will be soon. I plan to dig out some recipe books and try to find some new recipes to make. I wish my husband liked casseroles, but he does not.

*** What I am wearing ***

I have pink leggings and a grey hoodie on. It is thin and not a sweatshirt. I think it is perfect for the day we will have. It is to be warmer today and I am thankful for that.

*** On my reading pile ***

I am listening to an audio book Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica, and I am reading Nellie Oleson Meets Laura Ingalls. It is by Heather Williams and is part of a series that I plan to read all of. It is part of a Little House series that I discovered while helping my granddaughter pick out some books at the library. Yes, it is in the children's section of the library, but I am enjoying it.

*** On my TV this week ***

I will be watching some of the Olympics and I watched the Super Bowl last night. Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks! I was shocked to see how the game was so one sided, but I enjoyed the game. I watched the Turning Point USA half time show and greatly enjoyed it.

*** Looking around the house ***

I am happy to say that all of my daily cleaning is finished for the day, and I have even managed to do an extra chore that I would normally do in the afternoon. I cleaned the bathroom cabinets out and got rid of some stuff that I have wanted to do for a while.

*** To do list for today***

Daily cleaning, wash bed covers, wash towels, spending time reading my Bible, cancel an appointment, and do online work. I have completed all of it and it is only 11 a.m. The sunshine must be adding to my eagerness today. Now I need to plan dinner, and I am thinking I might want bbq pork chops.

*** What I am creating ***

I am currently not working on any crafts, but I am going through my spring-cleaning list and working on organizing and purging many things. I am happy to say I am creating my safe and happy place.

*** From the camera ***
One of my adorable grandsons.

*** Devotional, Prayers, Bible Verses ***

Comments

  1. Oh what a cutie!!! If someone makes me something to eat I will eat it no matter what... I hate that people are so picky nowadays. You can have 1 or 2 things you don't like but more than that, make your own, well that's my thinking ;) Hope you have a wonderful week
