Happy Homemaker Monday - May 5,2025

May is really here! It seems to be a cold start here as our temperatures are in the upper 40's this morning and we have had rain all weekend, but it will get better! I do have the garden planted and our flower bed is beginning to look quite ready for the summer.

Lilacs are blooming here, and the hobby farm smells nice when you are near them. I love LILACS!!!!

Anyway, let's get started with our Happy Homemaker and if you want to join hope over to Diary of a Stay at Home Mom and link up with Sandra and all the others that write these posts on Monday. Be sure to read the other entries and comment on them. Let's all share the love we have for our homes and the hard-working moms out there. Motherhood can be tough.

THE WEATHER IN MY NECK OF THE WOODS:

Cool and rainy! I believe the high temperature for the day is to be around 52 degrees. Cold for this time of the year, but it is so wet from all the rain. April showers bring May mud,

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY:

My grandbabies. I spent last week with my daughter and her three babies and what an amazing week, other than very little sleep. The twins were rather fussy and did not sleep much. I worry about my daughter as this will be her first week home alone with them. Three babies under two is a tough road when two are newborn and need a lot of attention. Life is hard now, but it will be so rewarding in the end. Also, visited with my son and daughter in law and their baby is doing fine too.

BOOK I'M READING:

I started Grace Anna sings. It is based on a true story about a young lady that has beat many odds in her life and is singing the praises of it. Here is the link to her FB page and you can learn more about her there.

 WHAT'S ON MY TV TODAY:
It will probably be Spidey and Friends since my granddoll is here today. She will watch a few other shows, but that is her favorite and since the weather is not cooperating for us to be outside, I am sure it will be the main tv show today.

ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE:

I am enjoying a cup of blueberry muffin coffee now as I type this and listen to the roosters crowing to start the morning. I might eat a bagel or bowl of oatmeal later, but I am not sure.

ON THE LUNCH PLATE:

I will eat a leftover cheeseburger and some cottage cheese, and I am sure my grand will eat a pb and j as that is her favorite lunch. My husband got some delicious potato salad from someone, and we may have it as well, but I might leave the rest for him.

ON THE DINNER PLATE:

I am planning to make maple ham with baked beans, asparagus and fried corn bread. Menu planning will happen today as it was simply too busy this weekend. I believe I need to look in the freezer and see what meats need to be used the most.

ON MY TO DO LIST:

1. Pay bills

2. Schedule my game night post for my Pink Zebra business.

3. Laundry - bed covers are today

4. Daily cleaning and decluttering

5. Post first sales for my team in my Pink Zebra business on our team page.

6. Daily email routine

WHAT I AM CREATING:

I am joining a penpal group and I am working on getting some get to know me packs ready with a few stickers and other items to send with them. I will post a picture if I can later. I am also working on folders for family history and attempting to work on photo albums and scrapbooks.

NO WORDS NEEDED:

DEVOTIONAL, PRAYER, OR BIBLE VERSE:

Wishing you all a very happy and healthy Monday!
