Happy Homemaker - Feb. 10,2025
Good Morning! For many football fans, it is a sad morning following the loss in the Super Bowl by the Kansas City Chiefs. I was rooting all the way for Mahomes and the Chiefs to pull out that third Super Bowl win, but it just did not happen. It seemed as though they just did not have a win in them for the night. I am proud of the game the Eagles played, and they certainly deserved the win. Enough of that subject, let's get on to todays' Happy Homemaker post.
I will be linking up with Sandra for this Happy Homemaker post over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom . If you are interested in learning more about what this is and why we write it, you can hop over there. You will also find links to what other Happy Homemakers have to say this week. Check it out for a bit if you haven't been there before.
THE WEATHER IN MY NECK OF THE WOODS:
It is cold here still. I truly wish spring would make an appearance. We woke to 21 degrees Farenheit today and it is sunny, but that is only to last a few hours. There are multiple storm systems making their way near us. We are predicted to mainly get rain, but knowing our state, it could easily be snow or ice before long. I pray that it is not as I do not like to drive in it, and I have places I need to go this week.
THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY:
My husband and my granddaughter went to a father daughter dance on Friday night and I was so excited to see them go. He usually takes her to one at church, but this was a community one. They had a great time, although he said she kept leaving him at the table while she socialized with her friends. I reminded him that being 9 was a huge time for friends.
BOOK THAT I AM READING:
I am still reading the book Run Rose Run by James Patterson and Dolly Parton. I just have so much going on lately that I don't have time to read. I really want to finish this book this week. Decluttering has taken me on a journey to finish some projects that truly needed to be handled, and I have discovered that I want to move furniture in my bedroom now as well.
WHATS ON MY TV THIS WEEK:
I will watch Fire Country on Friday night, and I will try to catch up on the episodes of Doc that I have missed. Those are two of my favorite shows these days. I also want to finish the series Sweet Magnolias on Netflix.
ON THE BREAKFAST PLATE:
I did not eat breakfast this morning as I broke a front tooth off last night during dinner and my mouth is sore. I hope that I can get to the dentist this week to have it fixed. My teeth are so bad and dentures scare me so much. I really wish I could just find a fix for them.
ON THE DINNER PLATE:
Soft foods due to the broken tooth. Probably some soup or something very soft. Not sure what my husband will eat either.
ON THE MENU:
Nothing is planned as my weekend was crazy busy. I will work on it today. I am also going to skip the new recipe part today as I don't see many new recipes this week.
ON MY TO DO LIST:
1. Call dentist
2. Declutter 365 task of the day
3. Plan my game night for Pink Zebra
4. Homeschool lessons for my granddoll for preschool
5. Return jeans that my grand doll can't wear.
6. Sweep and mop the floors tonight after dinner.
WHAT I AM CREATING:
I am organizing pictures that have been stored for many years into albums. Not really scrapbooks just photo albums, but I want things labeled and ready for where they need to go.
NO WORDS NEEDED:
Being that we are in the month of February, what is more fitting than verses on love. Patience can be difficult for me at times, but I am learning that not all fits with my time. Hope you all have a great day and a fabulous week. If no one else tells you,
She is a cutie! Glad she got some time with her grandpa, such precious memories they have together. Hope they can get your tooth fixed at a low cost, dentists are sooooo expensive here too! Have a great week
ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful! I hope the bad weather misses you and that things warm up your way soon!
ReplyDeleteAw, your granddaughter is beautiful, great picture! Hope you get your tooth fixed and aren't in too much pain. Not sure where you are in regards to here (KC) but we've already been issued a winter storm warning for late tomorrow night. Hope you get better weather and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAwww that is so sweet about your granddaughter and husband dance. She is beautiful. I can relate to a broken tooth, happened years ago and it was awful, hope you can get it fixed soon. Have a blessed week!
